In the summer of 2017, I had finished a long and exhausting year of college – it was my sophomore year. I had decided to go back to my home in Hong Kong and spend the summer doing things I loved; and that is how 120daysoffilm was born. I had four months or roughly 120daysoffilm at my disposal so I thought it would be a fun challenge to watch and review a movie I had never seen everyday.
The extent of my knowledge about filmmaking is about as much as the extent of my knowledge in plumbing – I don’t know shit (no pun intended). Yet I am fascinated by this process – from editing, to sound mixing, to cinematography etc. Prior to this endeavour, I had reviewed over 500 films on IMDB, and also stored (almost) every movie ticket that I bought. I consider writing reviews as a hobby and try to add to this site every time I watch a new film. My thoughts are my own and often do not reflect the consensus of the general movie going audience.
